POSITION SUMMARY:

The Junior Account Manager supports the GreenState Insurance sales team by helping quote, service, and maintain our Commercial Lines book of business, with a focus on small business clients. This role works closely with Insurance Processors, Senior Account Managers, and Administrative staff, acting as a key liaison between our team and clients to ensure their business needs are met with care and efficiency.

Pay range for this hourly position is $29.17 - $34.11/hr with a progressive benefits package.

7. Processes, maintains, and prepares new and renewal accounts for marketing, placement, and delivery to Commercial Sales staff or clients as directed.
8. Handles normal account service activity including endorsements, audits, invoicing, etc.
9. Is responsible for policy processing and quality control.
10. Gathers the information and risk management recommendations for the renewal of designated accounts sixty days prior to renewal and for delivering renewals and/or binders for designated accounts, as needed, within seven days of receipt.
11. Conducts periodic service calls for designated accounts within assigned book of business
12. Performs special projects at the request of designated clients after being approved by manager.
13. Binders and/or policy or endorsement requests are to be completed within three days of date quoted to client.
14. Maintains a concern for timeliness and completeness when interacting with customers, agency and company personnel to minimize potential for errors & omissions claims.
15. After reviewing updated client exposure survey information, obtains other renewal information from insured and completes applications for designated renewal business sixty days before renewal date.
16. Working to maintain a local book of business, taking walk-ins and answering questions on existing coverages
17. Receives phone calls and office visitors requesting quotes, changes to existing coverage, review/process certificate of insurance requests and completes the changes/requests within 24 hours of receipt. Determines acceptability and placement, completes applications or endorsements, and collect premium when applicable.
18. Reviews existing accounts to determine if additional lines of insurance should be solicited and does so by mail and/or phone prior to renewal.
19. Receives and reviews all termination and cancellations to determine action to be taken and takes needed action within 72 hours of receipt.
20. Handles premium collection through form letter and request cancellation of policies when necessary.
21. Follows up on outstanding claims and provides assistance in their resolution, as necessary.
22. Solicits expiration dates for policies not written by agency.
23. Solicits increases in limits and/or coverage or rounding out accounts through sales to clients at every service contact.
24. Seeks recommendations from current client base to solicit for new business prospects; follows up to generate new business using prospect database and automation system.
25. Meets minimum sales expectations for all products and services.
26. Documents all material conversation with insured and/or carriers regarding exposures and coverage.
27. Performs other functions as assigned by management.

1. Minimum of 1-2 years of insurance or business-related experience.
2. A two-year college degree, completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school, or completion of a specialized and extensive in-house training or apprenticeship program.
3. Professional insurance designation preferred
4. Must possess personal property/casualty agent’s license and commercial license or obtain licenses within 60 days of hire or be eligible and willing to obtain both within 60 days of employment.
5. Reports to work punctually, works all scheduled hours, and works overtime as necessitated by business demand.
6. Self-directed nature, ability to work independent of supervision, and ability to follow directions.
7. Must be able to work in a high-pressured, fast paced environment with significant telephone and personal disruption.
8. Ability to use personal computer, calculator, agency automation system, and proficiency in various software programs.
9. Ability to coordinate and prioritize large, detailed project requirements and schedules. Good time management skills required to manage and complete multiple assignments at the same time.
10. Strong analytical skills with excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
