Position Summary

POSITION SUMMARY:

Performs a variety of treasury functions with a focus on liquidity, investments, and asset/liability management including: daily cash management, portfolio accounting and safekeeping for investments, loan and deposit collateral monitoring and pledging, researching individual loan and deposit accounts and generation of reports from the credit union’s core data systems, broker/dealer reviews, assisting the asset/liability team with monthly ALCO and ALM model reporting, data (gathering, manipulation, auditing, and reporting), and finally, the creation and ongoing perfection of associated procedures. Performs other special projects and assignments as may be directed by management.

Salary range for this position is $79,173.90 - $92,563.38 with a progressive benefit package. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
Performs essential duties and responsibilities in the following areas which may include but are not limited to those listed and are subject to change.
  1. Adheres to the Credit Union's core values and Service Standards in conducting GreenState's mission and vision.
  2. Demonstrates a positive member service (internal and external) focus at all times.
  3. Demonstrates teamwork in all interactions with coworkers and in the completion of all duties and responsibilities.
  4. Ensures confidentiality of member information.
  5. Supports a diverse and inclusive work environment.
  6. Demonstrates professionalism in conduct and presentation to promote a positive image of the Credit Union.
  7. Performs daily cash positioning across multiple accounts, executing wires, monitoring balances while staying abreast of the expected future outflows and inflows of cash. Takes appropriate action to ensure that the accounts are fully funded to support operational needs.
  8. Delivers insightful analysis of actual and projected liquidity and funding resources and constraints, to the Treasury team.
  9. Manages the monthly collateral pledging processes including review and transmittal of loan files to the Federal Reserve Bank and the Federal Home Loan Bank while ensuring compliance and accuracy with collateral requirements.
  10. Audits data monthly for integrity by comparing to prior data sets, building audit dashboards, investigating terms and conditions of individual loans or deposits in the core data systems versus the data extracts.
  11. Prepares monthly ALCO reports with a focus on liquidity and investments and cross-trained on other ALCO report production.
  12. Develops, catalogs, and maintains pristine standard operating procedures.
  13. Assists with all aspects of the investment portfolio: broker communications relating to securities trades and settlement, reconciliation of portfolio accounting statements, and associated general ledger entries.
  14. Performs initial review of monthly liquidity stress testing results.
  15. Collaborates with the Asset Liability Management team to perform ALM and liquidity stress test modeling when added support is needed.
  16. Assists with the compilation and analysis of financial information to support management in making operational and strategic decisions.
  17. Assists in annual audits and due diligence requests.
  18. Participates in ad hoc projects that routinely include large data sets.
  19. Performs any other temporary or permanent duties as assigned by management.

Job Requirements/Expectations

  1. Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, or closely related field required.
  2. Two or more years of experience in a financial institution performing treasury or cash management tasks.
  3. Exceedingly detail-oriented role. Literally every aspect of the job demands accuracy that directly impacts the organization primarily with respect to reporting internally and externally.
  4. More than the ability, but a desire to organize, optimize, and take ownership of the tasks this role performs.
  5. Ability to perform arithmetic mentally.
  6. Well-developed problem-solving skills including the ability to solve problems independently and maintain composure in high stress situations.
  7. Audit focus-always looking for errors and following the steps of a task without taking shortcuts.
  8. Self-directed nature, fostering an ability to work independent of supervision, yet also able and willing to collaborate many times per day depending on the project.
  9. Ability to coordinate and prioritize assignments and organize work efficiently for timely completion.
  10. Must be able to manage multiple assignments with changing deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
  11. Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced excel acumen.
  12. Power BI, power query, SQL, Bloomberg experience a plus.
  13. General knowledge and understanding of a financial institution’s products, services, and reports.
  14. Ability, availability, and willingness to work additional and/or unconventional hours as demanded by the workload.
  15. Must be bondable.

Reporting Relationship

This position reports directly to the ALM Manager.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position is not responsible for the supervision of others.
