Position Summary

The Treasury Management Officer works in collaboration with Commercial Loan Officers on the sales and implementation of Treasury Management and Commercial Deposit Services and provides ongoing support for the business members.

Salary range for this position is $94,316.56 - $110,267.04 with a progressive benefit package. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Performs essential duties and responsibilities in the following areas which may include but are not limited to those listed and are subject to change.
  1. Adheres to the Credit Union's core values and Service Standards in conducting GreenState's mission and vision.
  2. Demonstrates a positive member service (internal and external) focus at all times.
  3. Demonstrates teamwork in all interactions with coworkers and in the completion of all duties and responsibilities.
  4. Ensures confidentiality of member information.
  5. Supports a diverse and inclusive work environment.
  6. Serves as a Treasury Management and Commercial Deposit contact for business members and Credit Union employees for routine Treasury Management questions, set ups and changes.
  7. Troubleshoots all deposit account issues and works with co-workers and business members concerning these issues.
  8. Responds in a timely manner to both internal and external research requests and troubleshooting for depository accounts, treasury management products and account analysis.
  9. Sells treasury management and commercial deposit products and services to business members via a consultative selling process.
  10. Collaborates with the Retail Branch staff to educate and identify new treasury management sales opportunities.
  11. Works collaboratively with Marketing, Knowledge Base, Service Training, Director Treasury Management to ensure consistency and accuracy of continued education of treasury management and commercial deposit products and services.
  12. Assists in the completion of agreements, set up forms, procedures, and treasury management implementation forms for new business members.
  13. Opens new business deposit accounts/makes changes to existing deposit accounts upon receipt of proper documentation and due diligence from the business member.
  14. Works collaboratively with Compliance, BSA, Fraud, Accounting, and deposit operations to adhere to all credit union policies and procedures and regulatory requirements for depository accounts and treasury management services.
  15. Provides ongoing support to business members to maintain goodwill and gain additional business.
  16. Assists in the compilation of information for treasury management and business deposit RFPs.
  17. Collaborates with the Commercial staff to provide support to business members.
  18. Promotes and cross-sells other Credit Union products and services as appropriate.
  19. Completes credit references and deposit account Audit Confirmations as necessary.
  20. Creates monthly reports for management as requested.
  21. Direct back up to the Treasury Management Assistant.
  22. Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements/Expectations

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business or Finance
  2. Minimum of 3 to 5 years banking experience or training, with a minimum of four years of treasury management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  3. Work experience must demonstrate progressive levels of responsibility in a finance and/or compliance environment.
  4. Must be willing and able to travel. Frequent branch and location visits are an expectation of this position.
  5. A thorough understanding of the financial institution’s policies and procedures is required.
  6. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  7. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  8. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, business members, and the general public.
  9. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  10. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  11. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  12. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  13. Proficiency with related computer applications, spreadsheets, word processing, database applications, and banking software packages.
  14. Reports to work punctually, works all scheduled hours, and works overtime as necessitated by business demand.

Reporting Relationship

This position reports to the Director Treasury Management.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position is not responsible for the supervision of others.
